  • Substitute Teachers

    Episcopal Day School seeks Substitute Teachers to work at both the Hilton-Green campus and South Campus, with children ages two through 8th grade. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, ability to work flexible assignments between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and possess excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills.   • Lower School Teachers

    Supervisor: Head of Lower School
    Status: Full-time Exempt

    Episcopal Day School is seeking experienced Lower School teachers to start in August 2018. Individuals must have the ability to lead a classroom where creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking are used to deliver a 21st century learning experience. EDS seeks candidates who are growth-oriented, life-long learners passionate about working with children, and supportive of the school’s mission, vision, and core values. Candidates must be willing to partner with parents and work collaboratively with faculty.

    Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education and relevant teaching experience are required. Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication as well as computer literacy and proficiency (word processing/spreadsheets/presentation software, online gradebook). Experience with Google Apps for Education (Gmail, Google Docs) and interactive whiteboard technology is preferred. The school offers a competitive benefits package.   • Music Teacher

    Position: Music Teacher
    Pensacola, Florida
    Supervisor: Head of Middle School
    Status: Full-Time Exempt

    Episcopal Day School is seeking an experienced music school teachers to start in August 2018. Individuals must have the ability to lead a classroom where creativity, collaboration and critical thinking are used to deliver a 21st century learning experience.     A candidate for this position will be passionate about the arts, instruct creatively, and will lead children to enjoy, appreciate, and love music. The music teacher will help students to discover the joy of expression and collaboration through music, movement, performance, creativity, and song. Guiding children to take risks and explore areas in the arts should promote confidence and advance creativity. The successful candidate will find ways to incorporate lessons that are meaningful and relevant to a wide range of age levels.

    Specific responsibilities include: leading the 4th Grade choir; leading devotions and chapel services in musical offerings; leading multiple Christmas and various other special programs.

    A Bachelor's degree and relevant teaching experience are required. Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication as well as computer literacy and proficiency (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, Internet, presentation software, and online grade book programs).   • Extended Care Assistants

    Episcopal Day School seeks extended care assistants to work at the Hilton-Green Campus with children ages two through 1st grade. The daily job requirement includes assisting with snack time, arts and crafts projects, and supervision of students on the playground and in the classroom.   • School Counselor

    Position: School Counselor
    Supervisor: Head of Lower School
    Status: Full-time Exempt, 12 Months

    Episcopal Day School is seeking an experienced school counselor to begin in July 2018. The School Counselor serves students and families, overseeing the counseling and academic assessment of students. The School Counselor oversees individual and/or group counseling sessions, correlating parent conferences and programs, classroom observations, and classroom-based interventions implemented to enhance the academic, behavioral, emotional, and social needs of the students. This administrator is responsible for program development that is comprehensive in nature and preventative in design in order to promote strong character values and enhance each student’s personal growth; it emphasize areas such as individual learning needs, character development, peer relations, self-discipline, self-esteem, stress management, and problem-solving. This position is also charged with standardized test management, Middle School advisory programming, and coordinates parent education seminars.

    A Master’s degree in school counseling (or equivalent) and relevant experience are required. Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication as well as computer literacy and proficiency (word processing/spreadsheets/presentation software, online gradebook). Experience with Google Apps for Education (Gmail, Google Docs) and RenWeb is preferred. The school offers a competitive benefits package.
