    In our search for the new Head of School, Episcopal Day School has formed a Search Committee and has hired a Search Firm to handle the hiring of the new Head of School.

    The Head of School Search Consultant Firm, EDI  will be visiting EDS on May 1-2. Stephen DiCicco from Education Directions Inc. will be conducting parent meetings on May 1, 2017. Please be sure to attend one of the following:
    8:15 a.m.                     Parent Meeting on South Campus (1-8 grade)
    2 p.m.                         Parent Meeting on Hilton-Green Campus (PreK-K)
    5:15 p.m.                     Parent Meeting in the Parish Hall (All grades: childcare provided in the EDS South Campus Media Center)

  • Substitute Teachers

    Episcopal Day School seeks Substitute Teachers to work at both the Hilton-Green campus and Grades 1-8 campus, with children ages one through eighth grade. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, ability to work flexible assignments between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and possess excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills.   • Middle School Spanish Teacher

    Episcopal Day School seeks a Middle School Spanish instructor. Applicants must be well qualified with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in the field. Candidates should be fluent in both Spanish and English, and have experience teaching middle school students. Qualified candidates should have a global understanding of Spanish studies. A strong candidate will be engaging, will have mastered creative and diverse methods of teaching, learning, and assessment, will demonstrate a knowledge of current pedagogy for second language acquisition, and will be familiar with the use of technology in the teaching of a foreign language. We are seeking a candidate who is well versed in 21st century teaching. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of one or more Hispanic cultures and will understand how to contextualize language learning in culture. B.A. is required; M.A. is preferred. The successful candidate will possess enthusiasm for intellectual engagement with middle school students, strong communication skills, commitment to ongoing professional development, a willingness to work with others, and a sense of humor. A love of middle school-aged students is a must. EDS welcomes energetic and flexible lifelong learners who are reflective about their teaching practices and are willing to collaborate, innovate, and grow as teachers and mentors. We seek teachers who are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about teaching middle school students, and who have an established interest in working with students of different developmental levels from a variety of backgrounds who possess a range of abilities and learning styles. The position requires collaborative work with other teachers and administrators. Additionally, we seek teachers who wish to become fully engaged in the life of the school.
